I see artists trade their patreon and ko-fi links all the time and it seems sometimes like it's only other artists and a handful of regular followers that pass those round. It really does help. Previous clients saying on comm ads they had a good experience also helps a lot too.

The way I view the arts is pretty simple... I don't have competition, I have comrades. Art is far more enjoyable when you treat it less like an arena through a lens of comparison and more like a journey with people to learn from along the way.

Like...desperately. My Mac is a 2019, and it's been very much showing its age lately. I don't have nearly enough in the budget for a new laptop, but it's reaching a point where I'm unable to effectively work.
