Watching the rain/sleet cover the car, wondering if it'd be better to go to the store now or if it'll turn off to slick freezing drizzle that'll be dangerous to drive in. I really miss living somewhere I could walk to the store.

Been watching Dune Prophecy, and I think if I didn't know what it was and turned the TV on and saw it, it would take a few minutes to figure out it wasn't House of the Dragon. I feel like no TV adaptation will be bold enough to get adequately weird for a show about

Going over my own book notes in preparation for revisions, and an autocorrect has me stumped: *Though the book is about locking people down, sorta, it's also about change and transition, metabolites finally.* What the heckin' crap was "metabolites finally"?

Yesterday, I made the best tea I'll ever make. I wish I watched what I was doing, but I make two a day & it was just another tea. As soon as I tasted it, I knew it was the Platonic ideal of tea & I'd never do better. My missus says I can't think this way, but I know it's all downhill from here.

Recently, someone left a short, good review on my old novelette, Ella. Many interesting stories have a split of 1-star & 5-stars. I like to think that's the case with Ella -- which is available for free on ITCH:

I don't care of Henry Cavill is in it, The Highlander did not need a remake. Some movies get "updated" as the original is clearly in an older paradigm, but others, like the Highlander, being a bit of a cult film, are sorta foundational for the era of films that get made now.

I think we should talk about what actually DOES make us buy a book. Reply or repost with things you like to see in the marketing [largely copy/graphics] for a book. For me, I like to know the demographic/genre + the problem/questions the book is going to tackle. I want the answer remain a mystery.
