HE NOT DEAD

I kind of wanted to talk a bit about the well I've been drawing from for the Tarkir stories. It's a simple one, honestly: grief.

Absolutely no one asked but yes, I'm referencing Vietnamese coffee in this story.

Not me quietly reading everyone's theories about what's going down in Tarkir. (I think two people actually guessed correctly and I'm so not telling you who.)

There's a lot about Sarkhan that resonates with me, all said and done, particularly his need to be move freely in the form he's happiest in. And I've been writing his scenes from a place of memory.

Literally only coming onto blue sky to say that the mask thing that the performers are using in the story is based on something used in Chinese Opera! It's called bian lian and it's incredibly cool!
