Introducing characters who think they have a certain fate, showing then grow to accept they don't want/deserve,/have to settle for that fate, and then have them die in that exact same first fate they didn't want, is NOT good writing. In fact, it's horrible. TFW, you all deserved better.

I got to see some silent shorts over the weekend. (Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle) And it was awesome having the live organists play along with them, playing on "vibes". One trend with all four shorts was them making cops the brunt of the joke. Let's bring that back!

I've officially finished Welcome to Derry and I love being reminded that there is good, thought-provoking television out there still! This will be one worth rewatching later.

Halfway through the season and it's awesome. Dark horror but some good comedic moments too.

I am watching the last couple of episodes of Mushishi and it is one of the best animes I have ever seen. The atmosphere is melancholy, complex, with hopeful undertones. It focuses on the heart of humanity and after each episode I have to sit and stew on the wonderful story told to me each episode.
