Today is my book 📕 planning day. Going to review a ton of best of and other lists to build my list to consume over the holidays and into 2025. The explorer in me never rests but my job doesn’t afford a ton of time to read new books, so holidays is the time to catch up!

Some of the best founders I know has the most sever case of happy ears. They just want to bend reality their way but reality has its own way too. Use reflective listening to make sure you are headed in the right direction and not wasting time.

One thing I proposed was to completely buy out the coal industry. For about 36b , you could buy all the coal plants (at a nice profit for owners ), give their customers 5 to 10 yrs to transition and give all employees full pay till retirement. Take out coal and other paths get simpler Thoughts?

Hearing large companies blame cloud for their expenses is misguided. It is not cloud providers, it is bad engineering choices and overly complicated tech stacks with layers of complex tools and abstractions. Moving in house won't solve any of that but will create more costs and overhead.

This election made me realize that most people couldn’t care less about what billionaires have. Instead most people care about what they - people - don’t have. Most people simply care about money in their pocket and that’s it. This is the message republicans sold and people bought.

You see, the Universe is uneven. Nothing ever is quite the same.

I sometimes offer people to chat on a weekend to test them / their eagerness. Not a lot of them cease the opportunity.

Simple self-care hack: Go on a morning walk every morning to walk and think for 20-30 minutes and only breathe through the nose. Nasal breathing is up there with sleep, diet, exercise and light exposure but few understand how simple and powerful it is.
