Absolutely devastated by this news. SpaceDrake was no doubt a huge influence in drumming up interest for Japanese indie games localized into English and pushing for them on digital distribution storefronts like steam. Huge loss. Might be time for another playthrough of Recettear in his honour.

Digging Silent Hill f quite a bit. I think my only complaint so far is that inventory management is a pain in the ass (at least early on). Otherwise tho, it’s beautiful, it sounds good, combat feels good, and the setting is fresh. Done for today but already eager to jump back in next time

Random game Saturday: Mingol’s release got me thinking about Camelot. Think we’ll ever see a true Sega/Camelot Shining Force IV?

This convo I had highlights the difference in what "respect your time" means in games. A lot of players want to trade time for in-game progress. It's purely transactional: 1 hour = 1 progress But I want to feel like my actions matter i.e. what I do with time creates progress, not time itself.

These were two super cool concepts so I wanted to support the physical (cool outer packaging too). Then, open it up and…look at this. Anyone who puts out a physical game should be banned from having not only nothing in the case but also no reverse side artwork of some sort. Absolute minimum effort 👎
