I'm going to add that Reserve and NG need to attend a certain number of drills per year to qualify for retirement. Due to shutdown, many units are cancelling these drills. Imagine serving 19 years and then at 20 (the min. to retire) you can't complete that year's requirement. I'd be pissed.
