I get it. It's not COVID. It's not a pandemic. But a quiet observation is that 'fuel crisis' is doing a lot of heavy lifting as a frame, whereas 'global supply chain risk and resilience' would be more accurate and lead to rather different policy responses. Asking for a friend. The friend is me.

I hope all the MPs in Aotearoa who think a ban on social media for under-16s is the answer are paying attention. It’s not the kids fault, but the platforms, so we should regulate platforms not people. Especially when the latter is an interference with their right to freedom of expression.

Rent increases should not be more than the rate of inflation. This unfortunately is not the norm here in Aotearoa New Zealand. Because landlords get tax breaks, while renters can get evicted without notice. A Green Government will give renters a better future to live AND thrive in.
