We've been at #BSR2025 today, raising awareness of different Hypermobility Syndromes. From rare to not rare, it's crucial rheumatologists understand how they can better support potentially complex patients. Diagnosis (NOT just Beighton), when and where to refer or signpost for additional support.

The Beighton scale, a test signposting hypermobility has limitations, even when properly applied ("Could you ever?" not just "Can you now?"). Originally a research tool, it entered diagnostic criteria for some conditions, but checks just 9 of the 360+ joints in the body. #HypermobilityAwarenessWeek
