Can we please stop trading stocks while we’re at war? Imagine if the system couldn’t be gamed on the whims of a madman? The war profiteering is the most immoral and unethical side effect of this whole manufactured tragedy.

I remember reading an article in @yesmagazine.org.web.brid.gy back in the 90’s about privatized prisons. It enraged me then as it does now. Stealing lives and making money-you simply can’t do this while being a decent person. Another brilliant scheme of the patriarchy.

I’ve become convinced over time that if men had to see the amount of blood women have to contend with every month, they would be less inclined to want to spill it on another person.

MAGAlomaniacs and the Republican Party used Orban as a blueprint for undermining democracy and installing authoritarianism. I do hope we’ll be able to look to Magyar for a framework to undue all of that damage and allow for human rights and freedom to flourish.

Let’s hope Magyar turns out to be a meaningful step toward democracy. Either way, voting down Orban in the face of such support from republicans, has to be seen as a huge win for the Hungarian people.

I despise what Reagan did to this country and the monstrous legacy he left in his wake, but man, republicans have fallen profoundly since his tenure.

It’s the difference between frivolous billionaires deciding which of their friends make them look coolest and watching real experts and the hardest working scientists who’ve achieved a goal of a lifetime. Most Americans prefer actual merit over reality tv. I hope.
