Uh... because it's good and people like it? The better question to ask is why SHOULDN'T they keep making new Star Wars. The fans are the majority. The haters are the loud minority (and we should never call them "fans"). Never forget that.

Not everyone is going to like Star Wars. But at the same time, a lot of people still do, and that’s the exact reason why. Because of those who still do and actually do love it no matter what.

Because there’s a multitude of galaxies and stories left to explore. The generational impact these films have had are timeless. They’re still relevant (maybe now more than ever). These stories mean something to people. And they’re worth telling.

Disclosure Day. 7.6/10 I’ve been waiting for so long to watch a Spielberg movie in a theatrical setting. What I got was not that bad of a comeback (maybe I expected a bit much). But it was also too convoluted at times I lost track of what it was about. Still, a great time.

100% agree with you on that - there’s a lot of great, fantastic shots and visas they’ve given us with the special effects and environments they explored in TROS.

The “TRoS undid everything TLJ set up” shit is so funny because when TLJ released it was “TLJ undid everything TFA set up” 😂 I wish everyone would get over themselves just. With each movie they add more information about the characters, they build upon each other. I hate it here 😂

mfs nervously watched TRoS once and came away with the most cynical interpretation and have refused to revaluate their approach or opinion since.

I don’t know how old this article is (presuming recent), but I’m just really exhausted from this global “JJ HATED RIAN/MURDERED THE SEQUELS” narrative. I keep bringing up how JJ worked WITH Rian or how TROS builds FROM TLJ. Yet people just want to keep saying “JJ/TROS/TROS fans killed Star Wars.”

I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan, but The Last Jedi is just so damn good. The idea that even the pinnacle of all that is good can make a mistake, and then rise up past it even better than before even though he thought that all hope was lost is such a good message for kids & those struggling.

As long as I breathe, I will never stop sharing my love for The Force Awakens. I grew up watching that movie tons of times and never once grew tired of it. Also, the actual thing that made me grateful that I was introduced to the galaxy far, far away. NOT the bollocks fandom.

Oh and, got my physical copy of the first part of the Ghost Crew story for such a steal! Karabast-ly, my region didn’t distribute the following (peak) seasons, so this would have to do just rightly for me to own. To quote my favorite purple haired admiral; Godspeed, Rebels!

Rey’s outfit in TROS is my personal favorite out of the three films. She’s retaining much of the same aesthetics but with a more shining tone to signify how much she has grown, while also keeping to her roots. It’s the Star Wars equivalent of “Gandalf the Grey” to “Gandalf the White.”

l still feel them not playing a trailer at the Super Bowl was a misstep. But ppl were wanting it to fail even BEFORE it came out, and box offices DO NOT mean a movie is “objectively good/bad”. There’s been positivity elsewhere and film’s still great, so I’m sure #TheMandalorianAndGrogu will be OK.
