A little while ago, Apple Music added an auto-DJ sort of thing where it mixes the end of one song into the next one, and I have mostly left it alone... however, I just had shuffle on and it made a *disgusting* mix of Fujii Kaze's 'Garden' into ABBA's 'The Winner Takes It All'. It was impressive.

I thought I would try a fancy hotel room for a few days before going to a regular one in Tokyo. I have to use two elevators and tap my room card at no less than two “security door” looking things to get to even arrive at the room. A nice lady showed me what all of the room’s buttons and screens do.

Thus far I have had precisely two interactions to speak of where I tried to use Japanese: One in which I asked a question about the trees in a garden and it was understood and went swimmingly, And dinner just now where the shop owner went “you good at Japanese?” and I said “lol no” and he laughed.

The good ramen place closed for renovation and was supposed to reopen in July and then August and now it's almost the end of September and it's still closed. When will my ramen come back.
