I think about this post way too often.

There is someone right now planning an attack on a Democratic lawmaker because the president just told them to do so. Just like they attacked our capitol, because the president told them to do so.

This is a key point. Just because someone may or may not be given legal permission to live in a foreign country doesn’t mean they deserve to be mistreated or tortured. It doesn’t mean that kids deserve to be terrorized. It doesn’t mean Latinos deserve second-class citizenship.

Trump and the Republicans hate Muslims, of course. But they’ll also do business with anyone that can line their pockets. It’s commendable that no matter how much she is slandered, no congressperson has been more consistent in sticking it to Saudi Arabia than Ilhan Omar.

Also, Trump is lying. He hates Los Angeles. He hates California. He hates everything they stand for. The fact that it’s full of Latinos is another thing he hates.
