(First) afterthought on the cancelling of our protest #WOinActie. The reason the protest got cancelled was because of alleged threats by a pro-palestinian group that wanted to "hijack" the demonstration and was ready to use violence. >

Prepared my placard for the protest on Thursday against the crippling academic cuts planned by our new Dutch government that believes "woke" academics clearly have too much time on their hands. Suggestions for catchy slogans gratefully received!

This was a great conversation with two scholars whose work i have long admired bridging disciplines and digging really deep into important issues relating to civilian protection

A gentle reminder that if we miss the 1.5°C target (and we certainly will), the next target is 1.51°C and not 2°C. We need to keep fighting. Every tonne of CO₂ emitted makes the job of future CO₂ removal harder, and every 0.01°C of temperature increase makes the world more chaotic and dangerous.
