Yesterday in Hastings, in the wake of antisemitic attacks in Golders Green, I faced Nazi salutes. Today the Prime Minister uses his office to attack the only Jewish party leader to score political points.

It is possible to condemn antisemitic attacks whilst opposing genocide of Palestinians. It's not one or the other; it's just what is right. Opposing Israel's ethnic cleansing is not antisemitic; opposing antisemitic attacks on Jewish communities is not pro-Israel. It's just basic human decency.

Wales Humanists has today published a new analysis comparing Welsh political parties’ positions on key humanist issues ahead of the Senedd election on 7 May 2026. While there has been some progress in recent years, many parties still lack clear commitments on issues affecting non-religious people.

This election should be a moment to make Wales fairer and more inclusive for everyone, regardless of their beliefs. But too many of the issues that matter to non-religious people are still being overlooked or left unclear.

Living free from violence is a human right. The recent and significant increase in antisemitic attacks, including this week's horrific attack on two people in Golders Green, is deeply concerning. We stand in solidarity with Jewish communities who feel unsafe and fearful right now.

The UK government must ACT NOW and: • Condemn the Israeli Navy’s illegal actions against the Flotilla • Demand the safety and release of all British Citizens involved in this mission • Stop all arms exports to Israel immediately • Do everything in its power to end this ongoing genocide

These essays and poems from ordinarily young people from Gaza is heartbreaking and inspiring. Filled with humanity, love, and hope in the face of so much evil, hate, and despair. A book that should be read by young and old. One I will be encouraging my teenage daughter to read.
