Our institution is having to find rooms for so many accommodated exams, I may be asked to work from home more so they can use my office. This is bonkers.

Now that it's proper cozy season, I am probably either going to roast vegetables or make a soup every night. For me this is the most wonderful time of the year. 🍂🍁🌬️

My dishwasher has stopped working and now I have to decide whether to tell the landlord. It will mean they have to come into my suite. But I hate washing dishes by hand.

Our little financial aid team is already short staffed at five people. One person has been out sick (?) for two weeks, we don't know when they will be back. Today, another one had an injury that might also mean a prolonged absence.

They don't advertise this but my local rec center gives a big discount to employees of the institution I work for. 🤩

I bought a ladder today just so I could harvest the last of the plums that are hanging over my yard from the neighbor's tree.

Yesterday I dyed some handspun wool. It was my first time ever dyeing wool and it was WAY easier than I thought it would be. The fleece and the dye were given to me, so the stakes were low if I screwed up. I learned some things, and this will go into a woven rug.

Good morning! My dogs want to say hi. The black one is Index and she's my tiny demon child. She likes to chew on her sister's legs and thinks the bed is hers. The fluffy white black and tan one that looks like a toasted marshmallow is Footnote, my perfect angel who has done nothing wrong ever.

There is a plum tree along the back fence that has been neglected by the neighbor, and until now mostly obscured by the giant tangle of blackberry bramble. I spent August harvesting blackberries, now I will liberate this little plum tree and eat an uncomfortable amount of plums.
