People ask "what were you expecting out of a Mario movie, the games don't have story." The mainline games may not, but the RPGs do. Even then, you expect more story from a movie than you do a platforming game like Mario. The Galaxy Movie does the bare minimum, if that.

Just got out of the Mario Galaxy Movie. This is the most frustrating movie I enjoyed. There’s plenty to like, but there’s a lot of little things that nag at me thinking about it. It’s fine. Seen worse, but could’ve been better.

My new toy collector goal is to get SH Figuarts of all 20 Heisei Kamen Riders. I already have Gaim, Ex-Aid, and Build. Something tells me I'm gonna have to wait a bit for Blade and Fourze upgrades from the Seihei line.

Yeah, as much as I may dislike Nintendo's kitchen sink approach for the current Mario movies, I can't say those movies are worse than this. And this is coming from someone who enjoys this movie as a guilty pleasure. Bob Hoskins is rolling in his grave at this reappraisal.

I hate to say it, but I was never worried about this. I had a feeling of "yeah, this is NOT going to go anywhere, given how extremely unpopular GenAI is." The Mouse didn't smell the money.

Though I still REALLY don’t like BvS, it came out at a really bad time in my life. This movie didn’t help those horrible feelings I felt back then. After The Flash 2023, I grew to at least respect BvS for at least being consistently unenjoyable.

Spidey getting an oddball team is kinda neat. I was hoping he'd get either a Spider-Family or street level heroes (well, Kamala counts for that), but I like that someone said "let's put Spidey with the weirdos." Also, Peni's here! Nice to see her in a fighting game!

As hyped as I am for Brand New Day, I'm not fond of some of the Home trilogy slander I've been seeing. Sony's mandates for these movies could've doomed these movies, but it's a testament to Marvel Studios' abilities in that they were able to make a consistently enjoyable trilogy of movies.

I've been saying that if Marvel's gonna let Miles be the Spider-Man who's into anime, I want Peter to be the Spider-Man who's big on tokusatsu. My own incarnation would say that the look for the suit came from him binging Kamen Rider around the time he got his powers.

I gotta rewatch this series because I loved it when I saw it during the COVID era. I even have the SH Figuarts of Ex-Aid Gamer Level 2 and Hyper Muteki.

I think I was getting ready to head to class (since this was my last semester of undergraduate college), when we all got that emergency message about having to stay in-doors. COVID definitely accelerated my life plans, and I hate that it did.
