YESSS!! Speaking of furry comics, modern fursonas as we know them were invented by Ken Coug'r (Ken Sample), a Black illustrator who started drawing furries in the mid-70's and was the first to really explore them as an extension of the self in the late 80's! He also has a very charming style imo.

LRP from that post I learned about Gene Catlow by Albert Temple, and I've been reading through that for a few days now. I love the charm of old webcomics, especially those drawn and written in styles that seem lost to time.

It's important that we celebrate not only Black history, but the Black present and future. There is an absolute plethora of amazing Black comic artists and creatives in this thread. Definitely check it out and consider financially supporting a creative or two ✨💖
