I’m reading The History of Middle-earth in 2025, one book per month. It’s June and I just started The Return of the Shadow and I’m SO excited! As much as I love the First Age, the last five books have been a lot and I’ve been dreaming of returning to the Third Age. Hurray!

Planning a super fun, delicious Shire meal for this upcoming Shire Sunday! I'm in need of some escapism and a fusion between Tolkien and cooking/baking is always where it's at for me.

I see lots of folks sharing the "I wish it need not have happened in my time" quote from LotR right now, and that's fine. It's very apt. But I'm gonna share a different one, from much later in the books: "You won't rescue Lotho, or the Shire, just by being shocked and sad, my dear Frodo."
