Did some pickup shots to display the materiality of this gorgeous gradual, specifically: drypoint doodles, damage to the binding that allows a view into its structure, stitched repairs, and the texture of ink on the page. (RCL cod. e 2, Barbeau Gradual, Northern France, c. 1240-1260)

Got to see some old friends under new light at the medieval manuscripts by (electric) candlelight event put on by the Robbins Library. Really incredible to see the illumination under the flicker of warm light after years of seeing things lit up in the lab.
