the choices disabled people have to make that no one else thinks about are a lot. There are so many mental gymnastics, and things to consider that seem unfathomable to others. For instance, do you know how much work goes into me making other people feel comfortable around me? Probably not.

terminology: a treacherous terrain. I always prefer ālose a child to adoptionā, but I will occasionally use ārelinquish,ā despite connotations of agency. I *never* say āplace a child for adoption.ā That is industry propaganda. Itās like saying āplacing a home for foreclosure.ā

The government oversold the benefits of the vaccines so you'd go back to normal and do all the maskless stuff that stimulates the economy. Vaccines don't stop you from getting Covid/ Long Covid, and Covid is nothing like the flu. The only way to stay safe right now is to wear a mask (N95/KN95).

I really can't stand features like this that imply air conditioning is a dangerous luxury. We live in an era where a lot of people - seniors, the poor, prisoners, students - desperately need ACCESS to air conditioning, and this doesn't help.
