still so pissed the em dash has become synonymous with LLM slop for a lot of people. AI shit doesn't even really use it correctly, like grammatically it does but the tone is completely wrong and the whole point of the em dash is the tone. otherwise you can just use a semicolon, or two sentences

every time we get ink for our 19 year old printer it comes with a stack of 6x4 inch photo paper, and i could never figure what i wanted to do with it, but it's actually really great for drawing with markers right on the glossy side
