updated my system and the new qt6 update (qt5 is fine) uses the xresources config over the font config so i had to set full hinting in there because the font rendering was a garbled mess otherwise and it drove me insane for like 10 minutes but there you go

i have discovered that the way i have been loading textures is wrong

#ossiclefossildev the lack of conversion is because 5551 is actually natively supported (also yes by that extent it works perfectly)

it Should work but the docs feel vaguely worded, i'm gonna try 5:5:5:1 color bit depth imagetexture conversion first before rewriting all of my tables and finding out that it doesnt. learned my lesson with shaders not working right on UI text... after already adjusting the colors. it's ok i fixed it
