Re: Ehlers, I would have loved to have signed him long term, but I also would be extremely leery of the contract it would have taken to extend him. Say the Jets would have had to go 8x8.5M. Age related decline comes for everyone, and a huge component of Ehlers’ game is speed. (Cont’d).

That’s less money and a year less term than I thought he would get. It makes me sad that my favourite player wanted to leave so bad that he would take less to do so.

So.. the Jets finished the season $5.8m-ish under the cap. They *tried* to get olayers at the deadline to spend up higher but ended up not being able to make that work. Curious to see what happens with that ‘extra’ money in a rising cap world. Do they play some LTIR shenanigans with Lowry

Don't get me wrong, the fact that some teams brought 30 people on stage plus the owner's entire family, or that some teams were dorky enough to wear the exact same colour suits and dress shirts (Arizona/Utah) was dumb too - but this is like 10x worse in all facets
