A lot of #NHLJets fans are really sour on Nyquist because exactly what I had predicted when they signed him. He tilts the ice but he doesn't score much. People care too much about the latter. He's not a good top-6 option, but he's an upgrade over Appleton.

Moose are playing pretty good hockey right now. In many of their games the score is closer than the flow of play. Count the breakaways (I think I even missed one) Would be nice to bury a few more to put games away. Duehr was a beast again. He had enough scoring chances to score 5 or 6 today.

Random stats nerd musing: RAPM or similar models should weight events slightly higher where a defender is with their regular partner greater than the events during partial changes. Same with forwards and incomplete line changes.
