Labour came to power not because people really wanted Labour but because they were sick and tired of tory corruption and total incompetence. Labour had a great chance to prove themselves but have so far failed miserably. The local elections in May will be telling and may trigger a leadership race.

Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary publicly justified the shooting of a woman in her car by an ICE agent. Had this happened here in the UK, such a statement would never be allowed. The Home Secretary might say "my thoughts are with the family," etc. Big difference between our laws.

Keir Starmer spoke with Trump tonight and apparently told him that Greenland is a red line. About time too. Trump has been talking about taking Greenland for years but this is a positive step by Starmer. Not sure if Trump will take any notice or what Starmer will/can do if he doesn’t. We’ll see.

Yesterday Mark Carney stood side-by-side with Danish PM Mette Frederiksen in Paris and issued a "hands-off" warning to Trump. Carney announced that Canada is opening a new consulate in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. That’s the difference between action and words.

I checked. Greenland is 16 miles from Canada, (Greenland and Canada share a border) Greenland is just 1,000 miles from the UK, and 1,500 miles from the US. So why is Trump claiming the US is closer?

1. I’m no defender of fox hunting but I can’t believe the new law will stop it. The police hardly turn up for a violent robbery nowadays so I cant see them bothering to investigate the Lord of the Manor and his posh pals who might be chasing a fox.

The thing about news is, it has a very short shelf life. Who remembers Trump and the Stormy Daniels Saga? This alone should have put him in prison.

Trump says he dumped Epstein because he was a sleaze bag. Therefore Trump knew what was going on. He should have commissioned an independent investigation of the files and all the evidence etc. He should do that to clear his own name but he wont. Why not? Because he’s in them, up to his neck.

Someone in the FBI tipped off Epstein about the raid and arrest. That gave Epstein time to rip out the hard drives containing the videos. The FBI is in Trump’s pocket. Therefore, the only one who can ensure a complete and thorough investigation leading to charges is…, Donald J Trump. Go figure.

Our friends and relatives in Ireland have asked that we do not send presents as they have to pay import duty now that the UK has left the EU, so we send money instead. Another Brexit bonus! Imagine how much trade we lose throughout the year, let alone Christmas!

I’m not a lawyer but i’m starting to think that the Epstein Files aren’t going to be the smoking gun I hoped they would be.

I doubt Trump personally told the DOJ to redact anything that had his name or face on it. He wouldn’t need to. That would be like telling his personal chef to feed him. But if he, or anyone is on a photo with an underage girl, it won’t be released anyway, to “protect the girl” so we’ll never know.
