Why do we need a federal guaranteed income? AI can answer this one. As the income divide widens in our country, AI is emerging and, in due time, will negatively impact the job market. AI could wipe out as much as half of all entry-level white-collar jobs. Many Americans rely on these jobs to live.

I know it’s counter intuitive - but if we had UBI that was set at a level that enables dignity and autonomy - it would be easier for people to find work. Being at stress inducing levels of poverty all the time just sucks up the brain power needed to get well and find the right job.

There was a 27% reduction in ER visits for those getting $200/mo in UBI compared to the control group—217 ER visits per 1,000 vs. 318 per 1,000. Specifically, there were fewer visits related to behavioral health and substance use crises, as well as fewer hospital admissions that originated in the ER

I read a ridiculous argument recently that UBS is good because it won't make people lazy and uses taxes, and UBI is bad because it will make people lazy and won't use taxes, and I just had to point out how absurd that argument is in this episode. Also, I think we should tax wealth and do UBI + UBS.

Universal Basic Income. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s not possible.

One in four workers in the US is now “functionally unemployed,” meaning they either want but can’t find full-time work or are stuck in poverty-paycheck jobs. A higher minimum wage alone can't solve this because it would increase automation and decrease hours. We need a universal basic income floor.

We had a fantastic participant picnic last week at Wash Park in Denver. This gathering was created to connect our participants with one another and celebrate the milestones of our program. Thank you to everyone for coming! P.S., the food was top notch 👌🏼
