Night thoughts They always say you can find your tribe by being authentic. But what if that’s a myth? Wandering from new situations to new situations, only to find that you are a perpetual outsider. What does it feel like, to belong? And maybe this truth breeds cruelty.

Night thoughts. This constant timeline and trending topics called social media, strikes me as screaming into a void, hoping someone will hear our echoes. But what could it mean to be heard? Anything? Or is that the addiction, the reward of one person listening.

Her Nightworld Series shaped my adolescence, and writing fan fiction about it was my first foray into writing. I have long believed twilight to be a pale imitation of her works. Go check them out. RIP Ms. Smith, blessed be.

Fellow writers! I don’t think I can churn a story out that quickly with work and two finals and three papers, but sounds like an awesome project! Hopefully they find enough submissions!

Great new

read I just finished. Reality bending, thought provoking and definitely a social commentary. But though it was tense, there are laughs as well as cries. I struggled to like the brothers through the first half, but the author redeems their arcs. 5⭐️

Though I have found wicked alternatives, I find a lot of horror to be glorified stories of misogyny, exulting in the torture and murder of women. Alternatives: Our Shadows have Claws, Taaqtumi, Out there Screaming, Listen to your Sister, and most of what I’ve read from Stephen Graham jones.

Just finished this. A great read that takes you from Pakistan to Toronto and around the world, a beautiful bit of prose that just speaks of the humanity of others in a time when people are willfully ignorant to tolerance.

Finished this as my last read of Feb. It was hard to read about the hope some authors had about getting over issues in 2018-2019, knowing everything that came after. And what’s happening now. But a great piece of work by so many amazing writers.

NEW: A searing editorial in the The Kyiv Independent. “It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up. “A president just disrespected America in the Oval Office. It wasn’t Zelensky.”

Elon's maternal grandfather (where his claim to Canadian citizenship comes from... Maye was born in Regina.) was a Nazi Chiropractor who left Canada when he couldn't get elected to office and moved his family to Pretoria South Africa. It's so funny when people pretend Elon was 'radicalized' recently

If you didn't know, now you do. Ukraine didn't invade itself, and Zelenskyy's approval rating is 57%, which is higher than the obergruppenführer who is at 44%. Don't fall for the misinformation!

Latest read: Black Girls Must Die Exhausted by Jayne Allen Loved the book. Ended up not being able to put it down by the end. Good character development and artfully done education and social commentary that really allows the reader to empathize with the characters.
