Semi-annual kitty cat update!

Hey chat I’ve been in training shifts for a new job for almost a month but they start at 3 am every day and it’s kicking ass so I forgot I exist, here’s Weesie

Hello I’m back, here’s our cat Lisle von Rhuman sleeping but she continuously forgets to close both sets of eyelids and only closes the inner ones and ends up looking haunted

I’ve never lost a friend this close before. We knew Jiggly for nearly 11 years. She will always be my record for longest talk on the phone, 9.5 hours straight without running out of things to say once. This bitch basically helped raise us and I’m fucking heartbroken.

She might be unequivocally our stinkiest cat, but she sure is a beautiful baby 🥹

This is Babs, our spiciest/most traumatized recuse who usually only tolerates a bit of petting for as short a time as she feels like before scratching. Last night I held my hand out for her to sniff and instead of dodging or swatting, she ducked her head under my hand and bumped me for a head rub 😭

We put a baby gate up so our cats can explore at least the bedrooms without the dogs stressing them out too much and now Babs is acting like she’s in prison even though she could easily jump it

Guess who got told she’s chubby at the vet today (she’s 5 months old and due for a growth spurt but it hasn’t hit yet so she isn’t getting any taller or longer, she’s just getting wider and therefore more cube-shaped 😭 she weighs the same as Lisle who is a year older and has a bigger frame 💀)

Besties I’ve clicked just as hard with our sweet new rescue Lisle as I did with our kitten I am so grateful

Babs and Pidge spent months overwhelming each other so we got them a sister with the perfect personality to balance them and now they’re afraid of her and doing something previously unheard of in our household…snuggling like lifelong best friends who have never fought in their lives

We’ve had the couch bed out this week cause Lex’s family is visiting so we’re crashing in the living room and Babs- rescue with trauma, always a big fan of nest making- has really made the most of the opportunity
