What i love about sending these is that it feels like I can share a tiny bit of my own soul archaeology,to some of you. Millie's places are those I've lived close to or passed every day. Often ive seen them through the same rose coloured glasses as Millie, so you get to see that too.

Because the Millie character is a homage to our grannies, aunties, mas, generations of Mná Ultach maybe no longer with us, it feels like it’s their support, strength, community reaching back to support women today who need it, through my aul pencils & @womensaidni.bsky.social 💚#UppaMillies

This hits different. Just like Belfast castle last year, but this time it's Central Library. This millie hid there, through the Troubles, as a child. Devoured books encouraged by librarians who were in fact angels in disguise.
