I wrote this in an absolute rage, and I'm really beyond grateful that the Irish Times approached me to write it.

I came across this small demonstration against femicide while in Madrid. They called for onlookers to join them.The Spanish women acknowledged that their statistics were not the worst & we talked about Ireland. And I come home to our dreadful reality - 30 women in the north murdered since 2020.
