Happy NYE! Fortunately I only have one of these; otherwise the hangover tomorrow could be truly apocalyptic… A farewell toast to 2025, a year of firsts: encountered my 1st moose; drove as far north as I’ve ever been; went to more fiber festivals than ever before; knitted a sweater…and beat cancer.

My last finished project of 2025! It is my first adult-sized sweater and my first colorwork project. I made many mistakes, but it actually fits, it’s warm, and I do still like the colors and contrasts—even though I didn’t achieve the geometry I intended! I will try again in 2026.🧶

one unexpected outlook change from being a dad is taking the self care people 10x more seriously when it comes to dealing with weirdly directed anger and rage (including Online). many angry posts should have been naps or little packets of crackers

Having a weird holiday this season. My nuclear clan is not having Krimbus dinner until the 27th, so I get to spend a few days with my Mom in the USA. Work continues on my second sweater. This one is adult-sized and incorporates a little color-work; it’s the Dogstar pattern from Tin Can Knits. Very happy with my hand-dyed yarns. The main color is Zanskar Blue, the contrasting color is my old friend November Leaves.🧶
