Look at those free cars. I could have taken more too but I hate feeling greedy. He also gave me some of his art (he is the artist). He does lots of motorsports art and has done livery for IMSA cars before.

If you haven't seen modern model trains, one option is sound from the real train, the engine as well as the horn, adjusting for speed and everything. I haven't called anything "fairly amazing" so I'll use that to describe it.

I knew about locomotives needing to carry sand for on-demand traction, but TiL on steam locomotives they store the sand in domes on top and then there are pipes that lead down in front of the wheels.

The 1970s is an interesting period to see modelled and a subtly different look to the scene. I love these BR locomotives from then. I saw someone selling a Z scale BR body for Marklin chassis so now whenever I see @cymrurails.bsky.social's O gauge I want more than ever to make one.

I bought these two standard-gauge boxcars when I first got into On30. Wanted to have them on the layout, but I only recently figured out where. By widening the staging tracks on one end and adding scenery, I managed to fit an interchange. Weathered the boxcars and put them on last weekend. #Modelrr

Doing a proper watch-through of Star Trek DS9 starting with S1E1, not skipping any scenes or episodes. A lot of times, I find the episodes I "didn't like" have a lot I do like. Notes probably will follow.
