It'd be cool if the "increasing the cost of motoring hurts poor people" people cared anything like as much about cost to people who rely on public transport - who are disproportionately likely to be poor and disabled, and who consistently face far greater increases in cost.

It's Transgender Day of Remembrance today Every year, hundreds of trans people pass away through anti trans violence, suicide lack of available healthcare to name just a few of the most common causes This is far, far more than any other LGBTQIA+ group and that's just the ones we know we've lost

Booking on today felt... different. The atmosphere amongst fellow traincrew was one of sorrow At the end of the day though, trains are still extraordinarily safe, 222004 successfully got us into London and back The best thing we can do as traincrew? Book on and do what we do best π

Random Thoughts: I wished Quiet Carriages in the UK were properly enforced. I prefer them when travelling alone but the amount of people who go on phone calls or talk far too loudly is just silly, yet everyone's too awkward to self enforce I've counted 3 loud phone calls so far on this Azuma

Myself and
@pacerclara.insanity.tube
made it back from Germany yesterday, though I was shattered so not had the chance to post until now! After staying in Dortmund, we took a definitely not RE stock disguised as IC stock to KΓΆln to ride K4000s. Look familiar? They're basically Croydon trams! 1/3

So you know how nothing ever gets disrupted in Europe? Well, I had a cancelled train on the first night and now I'm going to miss the loco hauled train from Venlo because NS had issues and many trains were delayed or cancelled resulting in a replanned itinerary where I missed a connection Whoops π
