I've had the pleasure of working with Kat. She was a young Republican who grew up to be progressive. Her career has been nothing but calling out GOP BS. She spent the campaign calling out racist, sexist, and false rhetoric about Harris, including in her Mother Jones series. She's the real deal.

When I got into political commentary, folks said that I would never grow my platform if I kept cussing. I rejected that respectability politics bullshit then, and I'm glad that I did. They were busy looking for Rachel Maddow when I was bringing Richard Pryor.

Many of these people don't realize that sending a bunch of ridiculously qualified and educated federal workers into the private sector is just going to put their own jobs at risk. The competition will heat up, and there will be no one to run the social programs you and your community need.
