Domina's characterisation really is becoming fascinating. I know some are having fun comparing her to AI tech bros but IMO she's far more nuanced than that; she HAS put in the time and effort, but because of her lack of natural talent that perfect veneer is always on the verge of slipping.

I've been sure of this since 2022 and with the new season I've become even more certain of it; Pharah's default OW2 look is meant to be her Overwatch uniform, right? The more angular shapes, the white parts, the materials - it's a perfect match for the 'New Era' skins. Just slap the logo on.

Funny how the story of modern console generations has essentially become 'doing what we promised last time only it actually works now'. Current consoles CAN do native 4K, ray-traced lighting, or 60fps - but NOT all at once. Next-gen machines will sell simply being able to make that happen.

Resisting the urge to design 'New Era' fits for all current Overwatch-aligned characters given there's a very real chance they'll actually have them by the end of the year anyway. I've loved the blue uniforms since we got Uprising and seeing them return in the 'present' is incredibly exciting.

The OW social accounts trying to ‘own’ the skin bias really ain’t it… Guys you had a (mostly) good thing yesterday don’t ruin it.

So a lot of what was shown in the Overwatch Showcase was really great, and it’s given me more excitement than I’ve had in a while for the game. But what the hell did they do to Anran’s face.

Jokes aside, I really am struggling with apathy towards Overwatch at this point. This year is the franchise's 10th anniversary and the only real movement we got on the story hit a dead end and got wrapped up off-screen. We are essentially back to square one and it's been a DECADE.
