The five Velvet Scoters at Dawlish Warren in sunny and dull weather but distant. Still eight Common Scoter. A Kingfisher hovering over the waves was unexpected.

White Wagtails on Teignmouth bowling green, some classic and some intermediate. Presume those with black on the face are 1st summers.

Blue-headed Wagtails at South Huish yesterday. Those with white throats might be intergrades with Iberian.

Sometimes get Ravens fly over house but good to see one in a tree at bottom of the garden.

Good day out yesterday for Lesser Scaup and Green-winged Teal in North Devon.

Long-billed Dowitcher in poor weather at Turf lock gates. First one I saw was in Devon at Wrafton in 1987.

Many Brent Geese on Starcross golf course but not a single juvenile. 4 pale-bellied (1 pair).

14 GN Divers at Teignmouth. Not bothered by rough seas and pouring rain.

Brents around Starcross. Returning Dutch ringed but lost foot. Partial leucistic and Pale-bellied.

Mycena Seynii on Monterey pine cone at Shaldon. Only recently found in UK.
