Reduced moth numbers last night in lower temps, and still no Eastern B S for me. However migrant quality came in the form of a stunning Ni Moth (nfg) and 2 Small Marbled. Also 6 Small Mottled Willow (amazingly my lowest count of the week!), 7 Diamond-backed and 2 Rush Veneer #TeamMoth

Nice to see this adult Curlew Sand on Black Hole Marsh this evening (found by Phil this morning). Over the last few days Red Kites have been moving through in good numbers, even though the main flight line is to the north of Seaton #ukbirding

Serin in my Seaton back garden for about ten seconds at 7pm tonight. Last seen flying off west. Managed a brief recording of three calls, heard six or seven trills in total. Bit of a surprise whilst enjoying some coffee and cake with my family! #ukbirding

Have not trapped much yet this year but the recent warm weather has seen me dust the trap off. Great to have a few immigrants with an impressive 13 Small Mottled Willow, 2 Silver Y and a Bordered Straw (pictured). Heaps of NFY incl L-album Wainscot, Portland RW, Privet Hawk, C Swift, etc #ukmoths

Lovely encounter with a Hobby just now on Seaton Marshes. Came in low at speed, the feeding Swallows called frantically and a rapid change of direction from the targetted Swallow meant the Hobby missed. The Hobby did a few low circuits of the Borrow Pit then drifted off east empty taloned #ukbirding

All it needed was a bit more effort... Delighted to find an adult Little Gull in the the melee of gulls off Seaton Beach this morning. Couldn't get close to it due to the need of shelter, but hopefully it stays until the rain stops later #ukbirding

Finally the cold weather has moved wildfowl! This female Goldeneye was on the sea off Seaton for about 20 mins this morning before flying off west. A proper patch rare these days! #ukbirding
