Of course it is. Mussolini and Hitler and Franco all blamed immigrants to seize power. The same old playbook is being used.

Recent rewatch: The Offence (Sidney Lumet). Still hits hard. A lead performance free of vanity that is so raw and crushing. The hollywood romantic lead persona is destroyed and Connery cements his status as a brilliant actor who makes brave choices.

Monster: The Ed Gein Story was all over the place in terms of themes and tone. It never seemed to settle, which may have been intentional. If so, it didnât work. All a bit on the nose, even if that nose was in a box.

I was reading a book earlier about the person most people think about when they hear the word âmovie starâ. Not their favorite or the best just the first name that comes into your head. Go!

One of the first books that I was obsessed with was Denis Giffordâs Horror Movies: big, glossy and filled with monsters, gore and terrifying beasts. âMaking Monstersâ sounds like just the kind of book to leave around the house and terrify/inspire a new generation of young horror fans.
