Oh no. From After Hours to all her Christopher Guest ensemble appearances, through to Schitts Creek and The Studio, she was never less than brilliant. Awful news.

Have you considered commissioning a portrait? Or do you need a painting for another project- advertising material, a book or album cover? I work in Oil, Acrylic, Graphite and Mixed Media. My rates are very reasonable and I ship internationally. DMs are open.

The littlest grandchildren had a sleepover last night. So it’s been K Pop Demon Hunters, crayons, cardboard monsters and of course lots of star wars lego. The death star did not make it. We blow up fascism in this house. Then we have crisps and cake.

Thoughts on Bond. In the 70s and beyond, Bond villainy was all Billionaire industrialist psychopaths who want to take over the world with their private armies. Not sure Steven Knight is going to struggle to keep Bond relevant in terms of villainy.

Today, January 13th, we remember Patrick McGoohan (1928–2009). Actor, writer, director, producer, and the visionary force behind The Prisoner, a show that is still asking the questions that matter.

A splendid conversation about falling in love with a film and the joy of inhabiting it by visiting the filming locations. The book looks as excellent as Mr Doherty’s jazz club sounds. Good luck with it.
