Wow. Hard to believe that the 3DS launch here in Japan was 15 years ago! This was my haul on that day.

I got the chance to go to the Nintendo Museum and Nintendo Kyoto yesterday and today. Wow. So much fun! The first time I’ve been to Kyoto in 8 years. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Though one of the last games I beat this year, it was my favorite. Final Fantasy Tactics was just awesome! I wish I would have played it sooner. Here’s to 2025 and what’s to come in 2026!

I beat Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles yesterday. What a game! When it was all said and done, I put in roughly 70 hours into it!

I went to the fancy 109 Cinemas Premium location in Shinjuku today for showings of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi today. I had never seen them in theaters up to this point. Still my favorite movies and what a blast! They even had cosplayers!

I got my Multi-Language Switch 2 pre-ordered and paid for. That thing is coming on launch day!

Xenoblade Chronicles X came out ten years ago today in Japan. It took me awhile, but I rolled the credits on this one and wrote multiple articles, including a review on this, at the time. Really enjoying my current replay of it on the Switch for the first time in English.

I can’t believe it. I won the lottery here for a Multi-Language Switch 2! This came via a notification via the My Nintendo app! If you have that on your phone and applied for the lottery, check it out! It was not showing up on the web version.

Okay. Awesome! Looks like I have a Switch 2 GameCube controller pre-ordered. If you’re in Japan, try out the My Nintendo Store online before they’re all gone!

It’s a boys night with me an the cat. He’s snoozing. I finished watching AEW World’s End (which was a lot of fun) and I’m now catching up on some NFL, kicking back a few beverages.

I went to go see LOTR: War of the Rohirrim today. Got lucky enough to find a showing with English voice. Fun movie! I bought these cool acrylic figures, post card sets and a movie pamphlet.

12 years ago today, the Wii U launched in Japan! Here’s my launch haul.

My week playing Switch. And checking in for the Mother 2 wallpaper. Balatro has been a lot of fun! Played in on Apple Arcade first then bought it on Switch. Platform 8 was also awesome! The GB stuff is DK Land and DKL2 (also great!).

I might have missed out on baseball at the Tokyo Dome (for now!), but I scored some sweet seats for Wrestle Dynasty on January 5!!!!! I am beyond pumped!!!!!

Currently queuing up online to buy tickets for the MLB Tokyo series. Only 200,000 people in front of me. 😅😭
