By the time Wario World came out on GameCube I was likely so overwhelmed with the sheer number of GBA releases I never played it or even realized there was a Game Boy Advance connection. Either that or I just don’t remember a thing about it.

Please, devs…use more than just colors in your menus. When there are only two choices it’s impossible to know what’s actually the selected choice. Is it white or yellow? Add borders around the selection, or change the font size…or both!

Tron Ares was a little sloppy up front, but it coalesced towards the end. Legacy is still my top choice, followed by the Uprising series. There was a clear, missed opportunity for Tron to appear, but maybe Bruce Boxleitner was too grumpy to sign a deal. Sequel bait firmly planted at the end.

I reviewed Mario Galaxy 2 a zillion years ago, but I don’t remember the character controller getting as confused as frequently as it does in this Switch port. Just run in circles on the Mario ship faster than Mario moves, and the control stick orientation gets all janked.

For 9/9, four things I loved about Dreamcast. Importing custom art as Jet Grind Radio tags. Playing Virtua Tennis in realtime on the VMU screen. San Francisco Rush 2049. All of it. And Seaman. WTAF.

I'm still in early times with Silksong but I might bail due to its intentional hard difficulty. The game's beautiful and well-designed, but I don't find any joy in "tee-hee you didn't see that trap, did you" choices, or boss locations that come without a way to save your game nearby.
