I once got into an argument with a friend that you can’t emulate an old game and magically make it widescreen without breaking things. This is a great visual example of why. There’s so much shenanigans happening off camera that would be revealed.

Been playing Big Hops the past few days. Incredibly charming and creative, one of the best platformers outside of Nintendo’s bubble. Switch version needs a polish pass due to crashes, frame drops, and bugs like colliders not working. Quitting and restarting seem to clear up persistent issues.

Crisis averted, system has been found and island has been transferred to Switch 2. I forgot how much work I put into it and how bell wealthy I actually am.

Welp, I have no idea where I stashed my OG Switch after the OLED came out…I never transferred my Animal Crossing island off of it, so now I’m gonna have to root through storage to rescue my critter fam for the Switch 2 update.

I was given someone else's Wendy's orders at the drive thru and it was way better than what I ordered so score. But I had to toss half of it because it was so much food and I'm on GLP1 and Wendy's doesn't exactly keep for multiple meals so boo.

Not so fun fact: simply because I volunteered to write a preview of Punky Skunk for PSM, I was volunteered to write reviews of this game for at least two other magazines under the Imagine umbrella.

By the time Wario World came out on GameCube I was likely so overwhelmed with the sheer number of GBA releases I never played it or even realized there was a Game Boy Advance connection. Either that or I just don’t remember a thing about it.

Please, devs…use more than just colors in your menus. When there are only two choices it’s impossible to know what’s actually the selected choice. Is it white or yellow? Add borders around the selection, or change the font size…or both!
