JR East to demonstrate "walk-through gates" at Mass-Trans Innovation Japan 2025, Nov. 26-29. The gates use millimeter wave transmissions to detect small devices and Suica and other IC cards carried by passengers, allowing them to pass through without tapping a card on the gate. Visitors can try it.
