Remains is a very dark and sad novel. It is also one of the most frightening books I have ever read which several genuinely creative scares.

Blazed through Christopher Golden's Ararat. Great book, loved the Noah's Ark lore. Purposely saved reading this until the dead of winter. Subzero temps, lots of snow, whirling winds, perfect atmosphere for this book. Totally recommend #horror

Has anyone read Blackwater? It blew me away. I've never heard of it until my wife surprised me with a copy. 90% of this book is Southern family drama, 10% is fish monster horror. It reminds me of Updike's Rabbit books meets a Tennessee Williams play meets a Del Toro movie. Highly recommend. #horror
