Maybe I could start a "game pitching chronicles" to share what I'm experiencing while pitching... It's both frustrating and amusing.

One huge difference I see with pitching this year (2026), is that I receive rejections 1-3 days later, whereas my pitches last year received rejections 3-6 months later. Is this good? Is this bad? I have no idea. But I'll always appreciate rejections over complete silence.

I think we talk enough about the importance of playtesting our games but we don't talk enough about how difficult it is to find people willing to playtest. It's becoming harder and harder... Especially if the game is in an early stage, which I'd argue the most important stage to playtest!

One exhausting thing about video games is that you have to actually make them to understand how they work. But then, more often that not, that means realizing you made them wrong, and having to make them again. Experience, I think, is just how quickly you can reach that realization.
