I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I'm late to the party as I'm just back from some leave, but I wanted to chime in with some quick thoughts on the PSF Board election. I'm restricting myself to "endorsing" candidates I've directly worked with, and I'll also mention some other candidates I'm excited to vote for: 🧵

I've made ButtonPad, a simple Python GUI toolkit built on tkinter that lets you create apps with a grid of buttons, labels, and text boxes. pypi.org/project/Butt... The package comes with a couple dozen example programs.
