The Trump administration is still choosing to withhold lifesaving food assistance from millions of Americans. We're asking a court to require the USDA to release complete SNAP benefits for November. I'll keep fighting this shameful inaction until every New Yorker is fed.

This fight isn't over. Our case challenging President Trump's executive order will still move forward. In the meantime anyone who applies for a new, corrected, or replacement passport, or for a passport renewal, is at risk of having their passport issued bearing the sex they were assigned at birth.

Donald Trump must follow the law and give people their full SNAP payments. Trump is using hungry children, veterans, and seniors as a political tool. It’s fundamentally wrong.

In the first year of Trump’s term, electricity prices increased by 11%. Congressional Republicans have no answers for families hit hard by high utility costs. Instead, they continue to pursue policies to make this affordability crisis worse.

Republicans in Congress extended tax breaks for billionaire corporations, but they refused to extend tax credits to lower health costs for working people. While Trump and Republicans inflict pain on people, Democrats’ most important job is to fight back. This deal is a mistake.

House Democrats will not give up the fight for affordable health care. We will not rubber stamp Republicans' extreme premium hikes. We will not help them fund billionaire tax cuts with your money. We will not back down. Not now. Not ever.

NEW: We just filed an amicus brief with other free speech groups urging the Supreme Court to maintain the block on President Trump's deployment of National Guard troops to Chicago. Our First Amendment right to protest must be protected.

This week, House Republicans will vote to inflict needless pain on the American people.   Their budget hikes premiums and leaves millions of families without health care. I'll be voting no.

The American people want us to stand and fight to lower costs, and that's what I believe we must do.
