I think that maybe focusing more on what I value in life, rather than on what I think will make me more successful will be a strange feeling adaptation, but I do think that it'll make me happier because in a way that's what used to make me so excited to explore things. I was freer for it before.

I've been deconstructing some stuff today and think that honestly the solution to me feeling super depressed all the time about my life prospects, is not to try to work extra super duper hard to make sure that something that I feel is unlikely happen, but instead to set realistic goals for myself.
