We're experiencing this too. Yesterday afternoon we collected data on @joinprolific.bsky.social and only had drop ~2 subs for failing our performance checks. About our normal amount. This morning almost half of participants failed. Huge drop in data quality overnight.

In a new paper out now in Infancy, we leverage data from hundreds of infant scans from the Saxe and Turk-Browne Labs to reveal what factors drive scanning success — and how future studies can maximize data retention!

This was such a fun section to write! The review provides an on-ramp to further integrating DL within the developmental field. Existing DNN findings & tools, while not without caveats, open new empirical developmental questions. I'm grateful for NSF's support to my lab as we tackle some of them 👶
