Thoughts on S2 of Fallout (TV): Not bad so far, the art direction and set design looks exactly like the game world, a huge plus. I'm not really liking the pacing or narrative so far - it feels a little disjointed. Huge emphasis on comedy also takes a bit of seriousness away from the 6 plots. ->

For folks who have played it, would you recommend Expedition 33 to someone (me) who utterly hates Fromsoft games / soulslikes / QTE's with a passion, but otherwise loves a good story and turn based combat? I don't wanna buy it and get pissed that the combat is "press X NOW to not die" forever.

With the announcement of new Stargate coming out, decided to throw on SG: Universe during my lunch break. It really is unfair that this show got such a weak reception - it's VERY much the "ST: Voyager" of Stargate, full of interpersonal relationship stuff and exploration. Worth a watch imo.

Tried getting back into Elite: Dangerous again recently. Still pretty. Still a neat flight model. Still incredibly shallow and boring. Plus like everything else nowadays, the entire thing has been turned into a grindfest laden with an *insane* amount of microtransactions. Maybe I'll spin up X4.

Man, being a new musician in 2025 must be awful. I use YTM for my streaming music, and lately like 1 out of every 5 songs is some AI slop. It's gotten to the point that if I see 2024 or 2025 in the release date (and don't know the artist), I immediately become suspicious.

I never put much thought into the disappearance of 'third places' before, but I had a sudden realization the other day that there's really nowhere to go anymore for the classic 'bar' experience (eg: not Applebees), nor is there anymore 'neighborhood hangout' sort of joints, and it sucks.

Listened to the new Pendulum album all the way through. Mixed bag, but mostly ok (mostly due to the fire EP's they threw on the album) Best: Archangel, Driver, Colourfast. Unlistenable: Halo, Cannibal, Mercy Killing, especially Save the Cat. Best when they stick to dnb+rock. Bad with screamo emo.

Ok, I gave the KOTH reboot three episodes to give it a fair shot, and well.... it's.. so-so bordering on meh. Much as I like how they show Bobby all mature and grown up, I dont think the premise of the show works well like this. Complete lack of A/B plots in the episodes also?

I had no idea Pendulum was coming out with an album so soon - pretty excited! A lot of the recent songs have been pretty alright, except that newest one (Cannibal) which I thought was pretty bad. Hopefully the rest of the album feels more like "classic" Pendulum; not a fan of their 'hard' stuff.

Indian food and other "dinner" stuff is perfectly fine at 8AM, and makes a fine breakfast. Sub sandwiches need to be soaked in vinegar. The top bread needs to be soggy with vinegar to be the "right" amount. The correct amount of seafood in any dish is precisely "0".

FURG was pretty great! I fursuited an absolute ton, saw lots of friends I haven't seen in a while, and got identified as a Llama by furcon ai. All in all, successful con! Needed to fursuit so bad. Was the best medicine.

Going to a furcon this weekend for the first time in.. quite a while. I just wish I was more excited than I am; mostly just looking forward to time off work and seeing a few folks. Kinda anxious about a few things really; I did NOT have a great time at my last con. =\
