No details yet but we dropped a year long dev cycle project around 5 months ago because we were hamstrung by Unreal and started a new project in Unity. We're already so much further ahead of where we were before it's crazy. Once it's more refined we'll show the game off a little.

the point of a game is not to beat it, it is to play it. difficulty is only "a problem" if it is "in the way" of beating the game, which is an issue in the mindset of the player, not in the structure of the game. redoing parts of a fun game is not a punishment, it's an invitation to hang out

Using your UV layers to put decals on your meshes is pretty cool. You are basically UVing a surface twice but each of those unwraps is so much faster than maping to an atlas.

I released "BREAK 10", my Flash and DSiWare inspired platformer where you only have 10 seconds to complete each level.

Among other game designers I've been glazing Peak a lot this year and I don't think it's gonna stop. That game extrapolates so much value out of such small level spaces that aren't even hand authored. Like, I love ff12 and it's massive authored world, but that world is all flat surface/ramps-

Metroid Prime 4 has spawned a lot of annoying discussions for me. Generally I don't want to have an argument on whether something is bad or just acceptable/fine. It doesn't feel like it's worth a heated discussion for the defense of a piece of media just so you can defend it as merely mediocre.
