So I resolved to film my skating more; I haven’t, really. Like, I’ve done it 2-3 times (progress!) but I never *like* the videos, plus I struggle to psych myself up to it. The stars have to align, the vibes be good, the rink quiet. I’m hoping summer and the rink getting quieter will help. We’ll see.

I do enjoy (and, ngl, envy) the manual handling aspect of coaching little kids. the coaches will just haul them around the ice and support their weight when they’re learning new tricks 😂🤩 oh to have started young 😂 (did Athens even have an ice rink in the 90s, does it now, who can say 😂)

been off sick the last two days and looking at my phone was making my head hurt and i’m not reading atm so decided to teach myself visible mending and decorative embroidery. Pretty thrilled with the results, ngl. (huge thanks to @takeitupwearitout.bsky.social for extended expert handholding)

well, just had my biometrics appt, which was weirdly dehumanising and humiliating in a way I’m struggling to articulate, so that’s nice. At least it’s done.

So I got into fannish spaces via a fandom I wasn’t into through a school friend (pre @walkthegale.bsky.social), meaning I read my first fic on the GFW (Gargoyles Fan Website) when I was about 14, for, you guessed it, Gargoyles. Probably something original though, Gargoyles was big for that.

T is not the only person I know hunting right now and this feels *so* painfully true. It has only gotten worse since I got this job last year, too, but this still feels reflective of my experience then.

so this made me want to listen to miss saigon. but I only remembered wanting to listen to A MUSICAL. So I tried: - you’re a good man charlie brown - operation mincemeat - rent - moulin rouge - fun home - chicago (so close) Then I watched a show with surprise Jonathan Pryce & finally remembered. 😂
